Going live

Two ways to put your site online

Your site runs on Netlify, a fast and secure hosting service. Pick the option that fits how hands-on you want to be.

Option 2 · No monthly fee

You own the hosting account

Best if you'd rather not pay monthly. You upload the site to your own free Netlify account, and I walk you through every step.

  1. Create a free Netlify account

Go to netlify.com, click Sign up, and sign up with your business email. Choose the free plan.

  2. I send you your website

When your site is finished, I send it to you as a single zip file. Save it and unzip it so you have a folder.

  3. We upload it together

On a quick call or screen share, you log into Netlify, click Add new project, then Deploy manually, and drag your website folder onto the page. Your site is online within seconds.

  4. Connect your domain

Still on the call, open your site in Netlify, go to Domain management, then Add a domain. Netlify shows the records to add at your domain company, and I'll guide you through each one.

  5. Turn on your contact form

In Netlify, go to Forms, turn on form detection, and add your email under form notifications so customer messages reach your inbox.

No monthly fee from me. The whole setup takes about 15 minutes with me on the phone. Future changes are billed per request at a flat rate I'll quote up front, and I'll send you an updated folder to upload the same way.

With either option, I'll never ask for your passwords. You stay in control of your domain and your accounts.

About

Hi, I'm Noah Rogers.

I'm a Yakima web designer who builds websites for local businesses. Too many great shops and crews here are hard to find online, and they lose customers to whoever shows up first on Google.

When you work with me, you work directly with me. I'm local, I answer my phone, and I explain everything in plain language. If you'd like to meet in person, I'm happy to stop by.

FAQ

Common questions

I already have a website. Can you redesign it?

Yes. I can redesign your current site and move it over without losing your domain.

Can I see a sample for my business before I pay?

Yes. I'll put together a free sample homepage so you can see the direction before you commit.

Do I need to write all the content?

No. Send me what you have and I'll help write the rest. Most clients just answer a few questions during our first call.

Who owns the website?

You own your domain and your content. If you choose Option 1 and later cancel, I'll move the site to your own Netlify account for free.

Is there a contract?

Yes, a short one in plain language. It spells out what's included, the price, the payment schedule and who owns what, so there are no surprises for either of us.

How does payment work?

Half up front to get started and half at launch, plus Washington sales tax. You can pay by card. The care plan is billed monthly and you can cancel anytime.
